Visit from Great Grand daughter Evelyn

Hi Everyone,
Above are a few pictures of a wonderful visit from my wonderful girl Shelley Escoto(plywood family) and her first Grand daughter Evelyn Burt 3 months old. Shelley flew in from Bellevue, Washington to see her daughter Rachel Burt who lives in Rigby, Idaho and together with Evelyn they drove the 3 1/2 hours to visit Grandpa and me. We were thrilled to have them visit us. They spent the afternoon and drove back the same day. Great memories for Grandpa and me and they made our day.

First Draper home gathering..GrMa & GrPa on Rolling Hill Drive

Hi Everyone,
This is Grandpa and me taking off for our move to Utah. Michele Elder sent it to me and I wanted everyone to see how handsome our son, David, was.
Yes, our first family gathering was last Sunday evening in our new home in Draper Utah, just 4 minutes from the Draper temple and it was great. We didn't have 100 % due to sickness but better next time. It was fun to see so many of our loved ones.
Love Grandma June...

Jenna Elder is baptized Sept. 4th 2010

Grandpa and I were able to attend Jenna's baptism and besides Jenna being baptized there were 2 other 8 yr olds baptized. Jenna's dad, Steven, baptized her and Jenna sang a solo and her father accompanied her on the piano. Wonder memories for all
that attended.
(The title of the song that Jenna sang was) I know that my Savior Loves me.

Great Day for Grandchildren and Great Grand Children

Daniel, Krystal, Ellie, and baby Mary came to our home in Draper to say Hello! It was so good to see them. Ellie is so cute and talks so well...she is only two...and I can understand her! We had lunch, played around, and just before they left I was able to get them pumkins so they can get ready for Halloween. Wonderful day! Here is a picture of Ellie eating her peanut butter sandwich! What a cutie!

We live in Utah now....

I wish I had a picture of our new home but I don't. I hope to figure out someday how to do this. I need Lorene or Dad or Michael to give me pictures of our home and then I can then put them into my blog.

Anyway, we moved on August 30th, 2010 and we are still unpacking boxes and trying to think what and where to put things.

We have seen our Utah kids and families (some) and we love that for that is a big part of why we moved from Washington to Utah.

Our address is: 14218 So. Rolling Green Drive
Draper, Utah 84020

We left our wonderful Escoto family in Washington and thank goodness for emails and phones. We got to meet the Escoto's grand daughter about a week ago and my goodness what a cutie. Evelyn Rose Burt is her name and is lovely.

We live close to the Draper temple which we can see the top from our front porch, it's about a 4 minute drive to this temple. We have attended the temple and it is truly is a lovely temple, of course all temples are.

We've gotten lost a few times but hey, that's okay. Now we can find that place the next time we need to go there.

I have heard from some of our wonderful friends since we've been here in Utah and we even had a visit from our last Mission President, President Moffat. He stopped by yesterday when he found out we had moved from Washington and are now living in Draper. He also invited us to a Washington Seattle Mission reunion on October 1st and we are excited to see all our wonderful missionaries that we served with.

Hopefully, in my next blog I can put a picture or two of our home. Love to everyone, Grandma June

Well how about this. I went back in to my blog and selected the other 3 pictures that Michele Elder sent us. Lorene and Steven and their 5 kids were in Disney Land the week of Gavin's blessing so they were able to come for the blessing as well. The middle picture is of Adam holding Gavin and Mom Tracy holding Kaelin. Proud Grandpa Mike Elder in the red shirt and I see the whites of David Elder's eyes, yep there he is. I must get more pictures of him and everyone else. The picture of Adam and me was taking while we all were in a 4th of July parade in Newport Beach, fun day and tons of people from Adams neighborhood turned out to walk in this parade. Love you all...June

Gavin Wyatt Elder blessing July 4,2010

Hi Family and Friends, Here is a picture that was taken on July 4th in Newport Beach, California. We were there for the blessing of sweet Gavin Wyatt Elder and my what a beautiful baby. He was so good and so many were taking turns holding him and he didn't mind one little bit. (Adam and Tracy also have a darling 3 year old girl (Kaelin) and she loves her little brother.)
After the blessing Tracy's parents had all of us over to their lovely home in Newport Beach. Fun time and I do have a couple more pictures...I will see if I can get them to come up in this blog.
Sorry I can't seem to get another picture on this blog...yet.

Hi family, This is a better picture of our latest Great Grand Child...Gavin Wyatt Elder.

Well, Friends and Family I am back into my blog and I hope to do better now. Main reason is that Dad and I have been released from our mission as of July 1, 2010 and except for going to the office when needed and serving in the temple I may have the opportunity to update my blog now and then.

First off don't you just love this family picture. This was one year ago and I still think of the wonderful moments with the family in Chelan, Washington. A few couldn't make it due to Mission, work or other reasons but they all will know they were loved and missesd.

See the picture to the left? I am having trouble trying to use the blog with pictures, but wanted to show off our latest Great Grand Child, Gavin Wyatt Elder, born to Adam and Tracy Elder on May 3, 2010 and Gramps and I were able to fly into California last weekend (the fourth of July) and attend the blessing in Adams and Tracy's ward. What a wonderful weekend and there were others that came from long distances for this special blessing. Dave and Michele from Covington, Washington, Analee and Charlie and they two sons, Nate and Mason and Aaron and Laura and Jack Elder from AZ. and Steve and Lorene Elder and their 5 children Braxton, Mallory, Colby, Jenna and Rock Steve's family were in Disney Land the week before and drove to Newport Beach for the blessing. Michael of course came from Nibley, Utah along with Kevin (Kevin made a baby blanket for the new baby) Yes, that is correct, made. Ashlee was also with her dad and Kevin. Austin Elder was there in spirit of course due to the fact he is serving a wonderful mission in Chile as of last November 2009. We had a wonderful luncheon at Tracy's parents home which Michael made a few calls to have sandwiches made by subway and salads and some items were done by Tracy's parents. Tracy ordered a beautiful blue cake that had Gavin Wyatt Elder on the top. Pictures were taken by many and when I receive some I will post them to this blog. Adam and Tracy had good friends come and Tracy's family were all there. Gramps and I hadn't been with Tracy's family since they were married 5 years ago...
